Advanced Energy’s Impac IGAR 6 Smart pyrometer is a digital, compact and fast pyrometer that can be operated in different modes.

The Impac® IGAR 6 Smart pyrometer can operate in one-color mode (100 to 2550°C), two-color mode (250 to 2550°C), or special smart mode.
In two-color mode (ratio method), two adjacent wavelengths are used for temperature determination. Temperature measurement is largely independent of the object’s emissivity and, in wide ranges, unaffected by dust and other contaminants. The measuring object can be smaller than the spot size. You also can measure through dirty-viewing windows up to a certain contamination point.
In Smart mode, the measurements at lower temperatures will be taken in 1-color mode and the measurements at higher temperatures will be taken in 2-color mode (ratio method).
Via InfraWin, the user can set the temperature at which the instrument automatically transitions from 1-color mode to 2-color mode. The minimum transition temperature is 250°C and the minimum transition temperature range is 30°C.
