Two-Piece Low Temperature Blackbody Calibration Source with Large Surface Area, 0 to 170°C

The Mikron® M345X series blackbody sources are cooled and heated by precision thermoelectric modules (Peltier method) and are available in absolute or differential configurations. The M345X two-piece system is comprised of a bench mount controller and separate emitter source enclosure. The Mikron M345X series blackbody calibration sources combine fast slew rates, high emissivity, and unchallenged stability and uniformity. The M345X series satisfies the exacting parameters of infrared focal plane array detectors, thermal imaging and forward-looking infrared systems testing in static and moving scene applications.


  • High emissivity with either radiometric (standard) or thermometric calibrations (optional)
  • Uniform temperature distribution with precision heating elements
  • Furnished with a certificate of calibration traceable to NIST
  • RS232 serial communication


  • Select from four aperture sizes, ranging from 4 x 4 in to 12 x 12 in
  • Calibrate and verify the output signals of pyrometers, thermal imagers, etc.
  • Achieve high accuracy and high resolution (0.01°C)
  • Control emitter source temperature with a precision digital PID controller
