Advanced Energy Showcases Power and Control Solutions for Next Generation Horticultural Lighting at Cultivate 2022

DENVER, Colo., July 6, 2022 — Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS) – a global leader in highly engineered, precision power conversion, measurement and control solutions – will showcase plug-and-play power supplies and advanced cloud-based control systems for horticultural lighting systems at Cultivate 2022, which takes place July 17-19 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH.

On display will be Advanced Energy’s latest family of Artesyn configurable, hot-swappable power supplies designed to simplify the installation, maintenance and scalability of next-generation horticultural lighting applications. The company will also introduce a flexible control and monitoring system that brings the power of cloud computing to horticultural applications to improve yield and ROI in greenhouses, vertical farming and other indoor growing environments.

“Cultivate is a major event for indoor farming professionals and is a great forum to highlight our latest solutions for horticultural applications,” said Joe Voyles, vice president of industrial power conversion at Advanced Energy. “At this year’s event, we will showcase hardware and software solutions to power and manage horticultural lighting. This allows growers to drive down energy use, improve yield and reduce costs.”

Advanced Energy’s novel, centralized approach to powering LED horticultural lighting can deliver energy savings of up to 12%. By doing away with individual drivers, the remote system can contribute to reductions in HVAC electricity requirements for cooling by up to 5%. In addition, by placing all of the key power conversion electronics in a single location, the Advanced Energy power solution can also deliver a 38% saving to the cost of lighting power and control installation.

Visitors will also have the first chance to see an innovative new cloud-based control system that integrates with centralized DC power distribution architectures and allows users to optimize growing conditions through the management of lighting power systems and the monitoring of a wide variety of sensors.

In addition, Advanced Energy will be presenting its new centralized approach to LED lighting that saves cost and energy in horticultural lighting applications at the Cultivate Live! stage on Monday, July 18 from 3-3:30 PM EST.
