300 W Quarter-Brick Isolated DC-DC Converters
The AVQ300 series of 300 W quarter-brick isolated DC-DC converters output a regulated low noise 12 VDC and up to 25 A from a 2:1 input of 36 to 75 VDC. They are designed for feeding downstream non-isolated point-of-load (POL) converters–in distributed power architectures (DPAs)--and 48 V telecommunications equipment supplies.
The converters provide a typical efficiency of 95%, and their open-frame design and aluminum base plate option allow forced air or conduction cooling and an enhanced thermal performance, respectively. The baseplate’s installed height of 0.5 inch makes the converters ideal for systems with demanding inter-boarding spacing requirements.
To help minimize external EMI filtering requirements, our converters use fixed-frequency switching. Standard features include output trim, remote enable, and differential remote sense, with non-latching overvoltage and overtemperature protection.
