Advanced Energy Showcases Technologies to Improve Glass Quality, Process Stability, and Energy Efficiency at Glasstec 2026

Prototype of TrueWave, an innovative power controller, slated for preview

DENVER, Oct. 21, 2026 — Advanced Energy Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS), a global leader in highly engineered, precision power conversion, measurement, and control solutions, is exhibiting its latest plasma power delivery, temperature measurement, and power control technologies at Glasstec international trade fair this week in Düsseldorf, Germany. The event takes place this week through Oct. 23 and is expected to attract up to 30,000 leaders from the glass and coating industries.

Advanced Energy focuses on solutions for glass manufacturers and glass coaters to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality while managing energy use. Leaders in glass manufacturing technologies is also previewing the TrueWave™ power controller prototype, a technology set for a 2027 release. TrueWave is engineered to deliver the precision and responsiveness of phase-angle firing while achieving near-zero harmonic distortion and significantly improved power factor. This innovative product enables manufacturers to maintain precise process control without the power quality challenges associated with conventional AC power controllers.

“The technologies required to manufacture and process glass are becoming increasingly interconnected. Improvements in coating performance, thermal efficiency, and product quality depend on greater visibility and control throughout the manufacturing process,” said Advanced Energy’s Luis Martinez, Plasma Power Product Specialist. “By reducing harmonic content and optimizing power factor, TrueWave is designed to help manufacturers improve process stability, enhance product yield, and extend equipment life. The goal is greater operational efficiency, reduced electrical infrastructure stress, and lower total cost of ownership.”

On display at Advanced Energy’s Glasstec Booth E32, Hall 12:
  • The latest range of DC, pulsed DC, bipolar pulsed DC, and mid-frequency plasma power technologies for glass coating, including its patented Dynamic Response Power (DRP) system for ultra-fast adjustments to changing conditions.
  • Temperature instrumentation and a live demonstration of pyrometry integrated with SCR power control to enhance process accuracy, reliability, and repeatability.
